What You'll Learn

This course is designed for professionals already working within the nutrition field who wish to deepen their understanding of supporting clients across the full spectrum of disordered eating. Particular focus is given to recognising and responding to the unique needs of neurodivergent clients, ensuring support is delivered in a thoughtful, person-centred way.

Neurodiversity is complex, and nutritional factors can significantly influence the co-existing difficulties many clients experience, including anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and other challenges.

While understanding how to create a balanced and nourishing diet is essential, the way this information is communicated is just as important. Without the right approach and awareness, even well-intentioned guidance can be unhelpful or harmful.

Guided by Lisa Smith, this course explores how to recognise diverse eating patterns, communicate effectively with neurodivergent clients, and provide practical, supportive nutritional guidance. The aim is to strengthen practitioner confidence, improve client engagement, and support more positive, sustainable outcomes through thoughtful and informed clinical practice.
