Mind Body Psychotherapist

Maybe you've tried talking therapy or counselling before, and perhaps all the different qualifications and therapy jargon are confusing as hell, leaving you at a loss as to what it all means and how to make a choice? I hear you.

I believe we need a more holistic mind-body approach to supporting mental and physical health and wellbeing, and this is where Mind Body Therapy can provide something different and transformative. Talking therapy is powerful and an essential component of the therapy journey, but if we dismiss the body, we miss the magic that can take place when we address the whole person: mind, body, and soul.

It takes courage to seek therapy, and I believe that it’s important to find the right person for you. Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff and clinical. There's no one-size-fits-all, which is why I trained as an integrative psychotherapist and in clinical yoga therapy—to help you build a toolbox of mind-body practices and techniques to empower and better support yourself outside the therapy room. I work in a relational way, aiming to provide a warm, inviting, non-judgemental space for you to be just as you are as we explore how to get you to where you want to be.

I am a passionate advocate of reducing the stigma of mental health and firmly believe that labels are for tins, not people. I specialise in anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and the management of chronic health conditions, which are often under-researched and poorly understood. Fast becoming a leading expert in the field of trauma-informed yoga therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome and long Covid, I’ve written my first book: "Breathe, Rest, Recover - The Yoga Therapy Guide to Healing from Long Covid and Fatigue" (publication November 2024).

I have a wealth of life experience, from working in financial services and experiencing burnout and post-viral fatigue to retraining as a personal trainer before realising my true fascination was in the human experience and supporting people as they explored their way to a more balanced, calmer life. I went on to train as a yoga teacher and clinical yoga therapist while studying for a degree in psychology, and then pursued postgraduate study at UCL in health psychology while training as a psychotherapist. I am deeply committed to my own personal and professional development. This is the work I do to support myself and to help support you as the unique individual you are.
