Laura Clifford-Jones

Laura works in an inclusive, holistic whole-person approach and specializes in working with Neurodiversity, Eating Disorders, Disordered Eating, LGBTQ++, and Trauma Therapy including Sexual Assault, Rape, Historic Sexual Trauma/Abuse, Childhood Trauma, and those who identify as Introverted. 

Laura works collaboratively as she feels that different individuals are helped in different ways, she will engage with you in collaborative dialogue and shared decision-making to maximize your involvement within your therapy. For example, she will engage with your strengths and cultural resources, as well as your preferences as to what helps and doesn’t help you.

Laura has extensive personal and professional experience living with and working with Neurodivetisty and Eating Disorders, she was diagnosed with Dyslexia at the age of 9 years old and has a late diagnosis of Autistic traits and is Introverted.  Laura uses my neuro-differences to make a stronger and unique connection with clients. Laura has also recovered from an Eating Disorder ( A-typical Bulimia Nervosa)." 

Laura started her Counselling, Coaching, and Mental Health training in 2012 and became a qualified counsellor and coach in July 2016, since then she has continued her training to extend her knowledge, skills, and expertise and in 2022 become an EMDR Trauma Therapist, in 2024 gained an Advanced diploma in Neurodiversity and Eating Disorders as well as becoming a Silver LBGT Champion. Laura is a forever learner and shares this knowledge with her clients through psychoeducation and exploration.

 Laura is a qualified tutor and assessor in leadership, and management working with leaders and managers to support their teams, understanding how a team works and individual needs within the team.

 Laura started her career in administration and accounts for several local and national companies, later she decided to move her career into childcare and progressed to become a preschool manager and owner of her own Childcare Business, which led her to become an Early Years Tutor & Assessor

 Laura is trained to work with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Anxiety, Complex Trauma, Eating Disorders, Introversion, Leadership & Management, Personality Psychology, Rape & Sexual Trauma, Self-harm, Neurodiversity, Young People (11+), LGBTQ+, and EMDR.

Laura is also a trained and qualified clinical supervisor (Online & In-person) and support a wide range of professionals working within the medical and therapy profession.
