Join us for a 2-hour intensive course on "Compulsive Exercise and Its Links with Eating Disorders & Neurodivergence" featuring leading expert Caroline Toshack (Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Movement Therapist).
This crucial session aims to provide a deep dive into the complexities of compulsive exercise, its intersection with eating disorders, and neurodivergence, a topic of paramount importance in both clinical and social work settings.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the signs and symptoms of compulsive exercise, its short- and long-term health risks, and the exercise dependency cycle. We will also examine the cultural and environmental impacts and discuss strategies for managing compulsive exercise.
Caroline Toshack will guide us through understanding compulsive exercise as a coping mechanism and its links with eating disorders and neurodivergence. This workshop will provide valuable insights into why some individuals exercise to excess and find it difficult to stop.
No prior knowledge is needed of compulsive exercise, eating disorders, or neurodivergence, as this will be an introduction to learning about all three and their intersections.
